-1-
I stood watching a distant star,
Like a sun that fears setting,
And recoils from it,
Like a small child struck by a snake.
-2-
I have surpassed my life,
And my life is but a mirage,
A world teeming with people
Who came to it,
Settled down,
And slept like the slain.
-3-
Blessed are those in the wombs
For every unborn child
For their world is the most beautiful world
Protected by God.
And in their world is happiness,
In it is bliss
And things with which I was most content,
Most joyful,
And most carefree.
-4-
I wept, and I weep.
For in the clinking of tears
There is solace for my heart,
And light for my path,
Shining like a morning star,
Like a full moon,
Like a candle!
